Community Cultures is a Pittsburgh, PA startup that provides in-person and virtual fermentation education workshops. The company was founded with a pay-what-you-can philosophy to remove any barriers caused by expense or equipment, and connect people to their food and each other through hands-on learning. It is the company’s culture to strengthen various communities by providing frequent opportunities to ferment new connections and give back.

Beginning in May of 2020, we worked closely with the Owner to build a custom website, including SEO and Copywriting, marketing strategy and communication schedule. We assisted with Community Cultures’ official brand launch and pivot to teaching workshops online. We learned to pickle peppers, make hot sauce, and consulted on their Ferment for Food Justice series, through which more than $5,000 were raised for BIPOC-led organizations in 2020.
